This sophisticated custom-built home in Furry Creek is one of Upward Construction’s most interesting projects. We oversaw every element of the build from planning through to landscaping to ensure that the finished home was as inspiring as the view.

Perched atop a steep cliff overlooking Howe Sound, the prestigious 5,000 sq ft residence features unique design details, spacious open-plan interiors and an imaginative layout that allows the family to enjoy mountain and water views from every room in the house.

The steep, rocky site presented numerous challenges including the need for a 27ft foundation wall to ensure the structural integrity of the house and grounds. We worked with structural engineers to develop a plan that allowed our clients to make the best and safest use of the plot.

Work first began on the site in the autumn of 2007 and the Upward crew pushed through two heavy snowfall winters to ensure the home was move-in ready by the Winter of 2008.

A one-tonne-hot tub is winched into place on the second floor as the house begins to take shape.

Double-height ceilings, an open-plan design and immaculate finishing create elegant and spacious interiors.
