After many years in this post-war family home, the owners were ready for a change. They did consider buying somewhere new but they loved the neighbourhood and knew they wouldn’t find a better location. With ambitious plans to create a home that would meet their changing needs they asked Upward Construction to take the bare bones of their old house and turn it into something new.

The Upward crew dug down to 9ft to find solid ground to build new foundations to accommodate the extension.

The interior has been completely gutted to allow for the reconfiguration of the old house. The updated living space will include a master bedroom with en suite and walk-in closet, a family room with wet bar, a separate laundry room, an open-plan kitchen and living area and much more storage space.

The roof was removed and completely tarped to weather-proof the house during the winter months to keep the project on schedule.
