Prospect, Upper Lonsdale

Our clients on this project had a prime view location in Upper Lonsdale but the dated layout of the house made it difficult for them to appreciate it. A major renovation of the main floor transformed the area to create a sun-filled, west-coast contemporary living space.

The original kitchen felt disconnected from the main living area and was in need of an upgrade. We devised a plan that would make maximum use of the space available, bring in more natural light and integrate the kitchen with the main living area.

Not only do the new cherry wood cabinets bring a smart modern feel to the previously jaded kitchen, they complement the warm wood tones of the timber that are a feature of the new living space.

To create the new look, the existing walls were removed while new beams, picture windows and doors were installed to open up the floor to previously hidden panoramic views.

Other new and improved features include a stone fireplace, bespoke handrails, a granite-top breakfast bar, slate flooring and re-conditioned oak floors.
