A Timeless Home for the Decade
This homeowner had seen a previous house built by Upward and was impressed by the quality of the craftsmanship and attention to detail. Coming from a family of developers, she called on the Upward team when she decided to build her dream home high up in the mountainous terrain of Upper Lonsdale, North Vancouver. It was important that the work is done to a high standard and that no corners be cut in the process of the build. Reshaping the lot and expertise would be needed to utilize more space on the side of the mountain in Upper Lonsdale. The design of the home was inspired by trips to Europe and regal style.
In addition to the lot being on the side of a mountain surrounded by other homes, there was an artesian well underground. The steep terrain lot was stabilized with neighbouring properties using retaining walls to ensure the structure was in place to keep the lot secure. Water management was an important step in the design of the home and the Upward team waterproofed the perimeter of the home using an alarmed pump system to mitigate any risks. New to the neighbourhood, the homeowner appreciated that the crew was professional and well mannered. The team felt like family and took care of her relationship with neighbours by acting respectful of the community. Your home is our home, and when we say we treat you like family, we mean it!
